This website was created and is maintained by School Ministries as a gift to further the knowledge of Released Time.
School Ministries (SM) was created in 1990 to assist local communities in the creation of Released Time programs and support existing ones. Although initially formed with a South Carolina focus, SM soon undertook a national role in responding to interests from across the country, addressing legal challenges, raising national visibility, and handling research needs. School Ministries currently has efforts underway in over a dozen states. Since 2003, SM has experienced a 15% annual rate of growth in the number of students it serves.
